I bought a small pancake plant for on my bedside table last week and I just noticed that a small mushroom is growing in the pot, too.

It looks kinda cute, but I'll remove it tomorrow. Though I might take some pictures of it before I do.

The official name is Pilea Peperomioides. They were very popular in the 1980s and again now (at least in the Netherlands). For me it's the ideal plant for on my bedside table since it like shade.

My sister's got a big one, but it isn't doing well. Knowing her she probably over-watered it. She thinks that if the top soil isn't soaking wet the plant doesn't have enough water.

I bought a new coat today. Last year I also bought a new winter coat, but that one is really really warm, so I needed a cooler one. I've been looking for a while now, but apparently shorter and narrow sleeves are in at the moment. Which is annoying because I have long arms and I like to wear thick cardigans when it gets colder. I found a nice coat in the men's department, which means that the sleeves are not only long and wide enough but it also has loads of pockets.

Now I need to start to mentally prepare myself for shopping for new jeans. I had planned to do that on Monday, but I might have to postpone that if my UTI isn't better by then.

Just got off the phone with the city. They didn't pick up my trash. He paused by it then drove on to the next one. I know my bill is paid until after the first of the year. So not a happy camper. Excuse me if I don't want to smell my neighbor's depends when I take out my trash for an extra 3 days. It is picked up on Mondays and Thursdays. Though next week will be Tuesday and Thursday. Thanksgiving week is Monday and Friday.

The UTI medicine is doing its job. I feel about 95% than yesterday. No more shivers, no more having to go the toilet every 15 minutes. I did go more often than normal, but I also drank a lot more (lemon)water than normal, so that's to be expected. It wasn't a particularly busy or difficult Saturday in the store, but I'm tired. So I've just made tea, I'm going to make a snack and then I'm going to find something entertaining on Netflix which doesn't require a lot of brainpower.

I had a bad acid reflux attack last night. It hurt so bad I couldn't talk or breathe. Hubby thought I was choking on food.
It was like I had swallowed real acid. It burned like fire. My instincts kicked in and I started chugging every water I could find. I tried gasping for air but my bronchial tubes were blocked. It scared hubby and he panicked. He didn't know what happened and I couldn't tell him.

The water saved my life because just like an asthma attack I couldn't breathe. It took two bottles of water before I could talk a few words. I'm okay now. My tubes are clear, actually more clear then they've been in months. No wheezing or pain. My throat is raw and I'm hoarse. My sinuses are clear now too. I was dealing with a bad block in my nose. It's gone now.

I will never, ever drink anything with lemon again.

I am so sorry hun. Get to feeling better soon. To prevent scaring hubby in the future, you might also want to avoid black pepper. That stuff hurts if it goes down the wrong way.
