Edit: I'm currently using a Moto G4 plus, and it lists 9.49 gb used for Android OS. Last edited by Purple Lady; 07-11-2017 at 03:23 PM.

In plain English, 16GB is not enough. Not even close. 32GB might be enough, might not (depending on what you plan to do with the phone). 64GB should be enough. My iPhone 6s is 64Gb and it's enough.

LG G6 is $449 for the next 30 minutes or so. It's the US unlocked version US997. https://smile.amazon.com/LG-Electron...ds=Lg+g6+us997 |

My phone runs Marshmallow and 16gb of onboard storage plus a 64gb mSD card is plenty for my needs. I download my music and audiobooks to the card and save the onboard for apps.

" Add up to 128 GB of additional storage with a microSD card" and android knows how to manage the extra space. The 2GB RAM is would I would look at. 3GB and up is better, especially for heavy games etc. If you're just planning on streaming and a regular user (the older cellphone suggests that) 2GB should more than enough. The moto G has far better specs (processor 8 core 2.0 vs 4 core 1.4, 12MP camera vs 8MP) and will last longer for future OS updates. If you run out of space just add a microSD card, better for saving pics/videos anyway. You can get by with the moto-E if you really want, but I'd say an SD card from the start would be advisable.

Looks like the 32gb Moto G5 Plus is sold out in the Amazon lockscreen version; I can't convince myself to go up to $180 for the 64gb one, though it's probably a great deal. This takes the pressure off to choose something today. I'll go back to the drawing board. I don't want to go over $150, since I don't use my phone for much of anything. I would just like to have a little bit of room to load a few apps. Thanks for the input. |

But I think for some degree of future proofing, the 64GB is definitely worth what Amazon is asking today. I wonder how intrusive the ads are on the Prime exclusive models? I hope pretty intrusive so I don't feel too bad about paying so much more for the regular one. Last edited by ApK; 07-11-2017 at 07:02 PM.
