Move library to new HDD

I just installed second HDD in my Lenovo T430. I tried to move old folder to my new HDD(D:\). I clicked "calibre library" and then "switch/create new lib". when I put new location "d:\" and select option "move current lib to new location", I got message "windowserror [error 5] access is denied", then I select option "create an empty lib in new location", I got message "the folder D:\ is not empty, select an empty folder".

What did I do wrong?

Create a user folder on D:

Windows security balks at Root placement.

The move a library option moves the contents of the current library folder to an existing folder which must be empty, thus you could move library E:\Fred to the empty folder F:\Bill, thus doing a library Move and a Rename.

One more question:

Now, all my books in Calibre show as a list view(eg, each row is one book that include book detail), but in my old laptop, each book only shows book cover and title, how can I change to "book cover" view?

Click the Layout button bottom right, then click Cover browser or Cover grid - or use Shift+Alt+B or G respectively.
