Light bug in 4.4.9344
Is anyone with an H2O experiencing the light bug some others are experiencing?

One bug is where you shut off the front light and when you wake the Reader, the light is set at 1%. Another bug is where you put the Reader to sleep using the sleep cover and the light stays on.

I'm not experiencing either bug. But if you are and you have an H2O (either version), which bug are you experiencing?

Neither. I own the old H2O.

EDIT: I do seem to have the second one, where the light stays on when the sleep cover is closed. I'm sorry, I had checked before but I don't know if it was the lighting in the room or something but I didn't see it.

I don't have either bug on my H2O
(Original version of the H2O running FW 4.4.9344, firmware was installed by syncing, not sideloaded).

Also, with the second bug the device doesn't turn off on its own anymore. I found it still in standby, light on, when I woke up this morning.

Did you close the cover? One of the bugs reported is that after waking, the light turns on to 1%.

Just tested my H2O. The light stays at 0% if I set it there. I also use the sleep cover and haven't seen the staying-awake bug, personally.

Yes I did. I was using the H2O with the light turned on already, so when I closed the cover it went in standby mode with the light still on (I didn't notice, I was probably falling asleep). It didn't turn off after 30mins as it was supposed to, and when I reopened the cover in the morning it was still as I left it the night before.

I've not tried putting the H2O to sleep with the light on with the current firmware. I usually use the light in bed and when I go to read the next time, it's not too dark to read and if I need the light, I'll turn it back on.

I've had this too. I restored the previous firmware, did a factory reset, and then was updated during the setup process. Didn't fix it. Also, sometimes after waking from sleep touch doesn't respond. In both cases, the only fix is to do a power off and reboot. I'm now always checking to see if the light is on, as I missed it once and it took away 20% of my battery over night!

Are you sure it actually went to sleep? As you closed the cover, you couldn't see the screen change. And if it didn't go to sleep for some reason, the auto-power off would not have been triggered. What did you see when you opened the cover in the morning?

Sometimes. I put it into sleep mode. And the lights are still on. I turned it off and turned it back on then let it sleep. And the lights are off - Kobo aura

Same problem with FW 4.4.93.94 and I can´t reduce front light to 0% (OFF) by swiping my finger along the left side of the display (máximum reduction 1%)

I have tried original Kobo FW 3.18 and 4.3.88.42 versions and it seems to work correctly. But, how can I maintain 4.3.88.42 version (i.e. deactivate updates) and to be able to syncronize the reader? For example, to sincronize pocket articles.

That's a know bug in 4.4.9394. Kobo know about it, so hopefully it will be fixed in the next update. But, if it is problem that is important to you, you should still report it to them so that they know.

You might be able to sync Pocket without triggering the update check, but, I haven't tried recently. You can't prevent the update for the full sync.

I did it. Kobo´s answer: replace the reader, it´s a hardware fail. Obviusly, it is not. I replaced the reader with a new one but the issue continues.
