Oh Wetdogeared, sounds like you need a nice big warm hug! At least you weren't completely alone. Do you walk the puppy on a leash? Put all the important info on a luggage tag and attach it to the leash. And if you don't usually carry a cellphone, tuck some money into the luggage tag so you'll be able to at least go somewhere and make a phone call. I've only been locked out of my place once. Hated that helpless feeling. Dreamer |

But I've still managed to lock myself out. Very first day in my (then) new townhouse, I stepped onto the balcony. I only slid the sliding glass door half way open, and propped up the lock-bar, rather than fully lifting it and attaching it in the "open" position. Then my cat tried to follow me out to the balcony, so I quickly slid the door closed again. Allowing the lock-bar to drop back into place, and locking me out on the balcony. WHERE MY EVER PRESENT KEYS did me absolutely no good. Sigh. Fortunately, I had just started to carry a cell phone. I phoned a friend who lived less than a mile away. She drove over and I dropped the keys to her, from the balcony. Good thing, too, cuz I was in shirt sleeves, and it was January! A sorta-warm, "Indian-summer" kind of January day, but I wouldn't have cared to be out more than the 30-60 minutes I had to! So, even cautions about keys won't stop stupidity. Sigh...

If you're gonna lock yourself out, at least try to do it in good weather. It's a much more pleasant experience on an early summer morning when you have access to a porch swing. Dreamer |

This was the first time I've locked myself out in ahhh, as long as I can remember. I had access to a nice cold concrete staircase, when I wasn't going back and forth between the front door and the underground parkade, trying to find someone I knew. I've learned a lesson today, even though the puppy didn't learn hers.

Ravioli in some kind of cream sauce stuffed with mushrooms with corn and chipotle. A yummy martini (forget what was in it), and for dessert this fluffy peanut butter thing wrapped in dark chocolate in a raspberry sauce. It's a yummy restaurant |

Remind yourself how cute and cuddly Puppy is! That's the only thing that helps, when mine do that.
