Thanks for the heads-up pdurrant. Looked at the deal and its contents. It seems that almost all of that series is based either on serial killers or on the protagonist's personal problems - and (though I'm probably the only one), TBH, it's all getting a bit 'sameish' to me; there's not enough variety any more. You'd never catch Christie, Sayers, Ormerod, Straker, Gregson et al. going down the same path time after time.......

I listened to the audiobook version of Unbecoming. I think the comparisons in the blurb are an overreach, but it's a twisty and enjoyable ride.

McCammon's historical mystery series is fantastic. I would highly recommend it. Will Thomas also writes excellent historical mystery novels.

Swan Song is an epic, apocalyptic horror novel. Similar in theme (but not execution) to The Stand. Not a favorite of mine, but a genuine classic in horror circles.
