To prefer or not to prefer

The "Date" column of a book in Calibre Library View is supposed, I think, to be the date when the book was added to Calibre. However, since Calibre lets me edit the "Date" arbitrarily, I can really use it for any date of my personal preference, including the date of my first encounter with the book, perhaps well before the creation of the Calibre app itself. MR's "Prefer Calibre Date" feature (when turned on) plus "Update Metadata (only)" really opens up another useful way of interacting with Calibre. On the other hand, (for non-calibre-originated books) it is useful to know easily the few books I most recently added to MR. MR's "Prefer Calibre Date" feature when turned off (by default) serves that purpose well too. |

Thanks for the detailed report. Unfortunately, we still can't reproduce the problem. But we'll keep trying.

Yes, many thanks to cedhax for pointing me to the correct place for the date preferences. I have a future feature request for MR: would it be possible to either swipe or have an arrow button to navigate between books while in the info window? For example, I open book A's info to show the metadata and related information. It would be great if I could then swipe or arrow click to the next title's (book B in the sorted list) information without going back to the list and reselecting book B info. Thanks for considering this feature. |

Thanks to slantybard for his/her interesting feature suggestion above for a new convenient way to navigate Book Info | Metadata. I guess this is perhaps partly motivated by slantybard's need to verify that the metadata update indeed works as expected in MR 1.6.1. |

Neither do I like trimming surrounding space. For PDF books that already have reasonably small margin space, that does not really help. Looking forward to your better solution!

 Asian fonts

It's very nice that MapleRead supports EPUB3 and vertical writing books. I would appreciate if you can consider adding more Asian fonts.

Thanks for the suggestion. More Asian fonts will be added to the Text Font and Heading Font menus in the next version of MapleRead.

Hi sbaylor, I have another feature request for you to consider: that the search function can search all metadata instead of just title, author, and series. As always thanks for the best iOS ereader app around! |

I have a question regarding PC Upload. Is there a way to choose which set to upload a book? Right now they all go to the default "Ungrouped" set so I then have to take extra steps to get the book into the correct set.

Thank you for your feature suggestion. I think the only additional field to look for is really "description", as there are already tag filters in Library. The catch is that a search might result in more hits than one wants. Any comments from other users?

Having said that, I understand that it can be more convenient sometimes to be able to specify another book set as the target book set. We'll consider this feature for a future release.
