From Wikipedia,

Nerd is a term often bearing a derogatory connotation or stereotype, that refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests that are age inappropriate rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. Therefore, a nerd is often excluded from physical activity and considered a loner by peers, or will tend to associate with like-minded people.

Okay, about the only thing I passionately pursue anymore are Uncle Dukes donuts, Amazon GC's, my granddaughter, and mobileread. Not necessarily in that order.

I am actually a 'loner'. Not a party person. (except here).

My family and MobileRead are all the social activity I need. So I picked "yes I am a nerd".

I like to color in coloring books.
I only move in order to locate food.
I spend most of my time lurking or posting in forums
or reading a book.

I guess I do fit the definition of nerd! lol

I'm Spartacus! (or possibly Stephen Fry...I get confused on Sunday nights, and kind of crave banana daiquiris for some reason) I'm possibly a geek...or a nerd...I was a geek I think, but not a nerd maybe, and when a child I was mostly a hermit with geekish/nerdish tendencies, but I'm retired now, so I'm probably a beach bum...but I'm definitely more attractive than your average four-thumbed primate, well, except for those Hollywood monkeys with their plastic surgery and their botox and their personal trainers [wanders off...mumbling grumbling...]...

having consulted the chart, i confirm that i am more geek than nerd, however i am not a completely typical geek either. i guess, as always, i prefer to remain anomalous.
