OK, I'm taming down a bit. Switching to Murchie's English Breakfast Blend tea. This is the last of this tin, so need to make a purchase.

After doing a side-by-side comparison of Murchie's English Breakfast, TeaHaus English Breakfast, and TeaHaus Canadian Breakfast, I'm buying another large tin of Murchie's. Though the Canadian Breakfast came a close second.

Both are excellent quality -- no dust, few to no really small broken bits. If anything, I'd say the TeaHaus is slightly higher percentage of unbroken leaves. But a direct comparison of this is difficult because the TeaHaus uses Kenyan tea, which I find of higher apparent quality, but less overall desirability, if you follow.

Right now I'm completely out of the Murchie's, so drinking the TeaHaus. For a further comparison, I cranked the temp up to 100C/212F (from 95/205) and it did help. I've extracted a bit more tannin, and that bite shifts the flavour profile to be a bit "brisker".

Overall, I can happily drink either. But all other things being equal, I'll order more Murchies. Besides, they're a local (BC) company.

Trader Joes Cinnamon Chai Tea. Tastes good but at 32 carbs, I won't be getting it again. I'll have to come up with a similar recipe that uses Splenda. I'm diabetic, hence the issue.
