Jon, I've never heard you use 'WOW' and 'OMG' in any of your posts. I'm concerned about you and wonder if you're OK. Please respond quickly, as I've already secured the services of a Doctor. | |

Well the One doen't come with a cover so that's $50 more. Making the prices about the same. How did Kobo get Color on an e-ink reader? OR is it the lights with 2 different colors? |

There are some color changing LEDs. So when you go to night mode, these LEDs change color.

The lights change color based on the time of day, adjusting slowly as your bedtime approaches. You can of course disable this transition entirely, or set the color temperature of the light, and you tell the Kobo One what your bed time is.

Are they? I just went to the promotional page for the One and I see no mention what so ever of "night mode". All they talk about is "Comfort Light Pro". Are you putting words into Kobo's mouth?

I was incorrect. But in most blogs/articles about the Aura One, the term "night mode" is used for the new less blue-light front light mode and I'm sticking with that.

The One is too big for my taste. Besides, for a huge reader for indoor use my H2O seems to handle my needs for now. The Edition 2, in the other hand offers a few new thinks compared with my Aura 6''. But not so much. Same dpi, same resolution, same internal store size. I read usually epub books on my Aura so I don't really care for the existence of a external card slot. The overdrive feature may be useless on my country. I need a 6'' reader with carta display and high dpi. Those things I missing on my Aura 6''. After a lot of thoughts I came up ordering a Glo HD. |

I will buy it, as soon as I'm able. Two reasons mainly: the size and the ability to change the temperature of the light. (the third is to make my mother even more jealous after reading with my H2O in her swimming pool this summer )

I see a lot of people saying that the One is too big. But how true is that? Comparing 6.0 to 7.8 , the One is 30 % larger. But what is the percentage change in actual width of the One compared to say a Glo HD? I know they reduced the bezels some so it may not be that different. |
