Whew. Maybe too much caffeine! Switching to Dasani Sparkling Water (canned) with "Natural Flavor" (Lime). OK, but not up to my faux San Pellegrino.

I think I've found my baseline. It is probably the most vile tea I've ever had and certainly the worst one I remember. It's acrid and chemical-tasting. The first thought that came to mind when I tasted it was "cancer". I dumped it, threw out the rest of the box and am now steeping some Wagh Bakri Darjeeling.

Making some GyoKuro Imperial and trying to wrap my head around world events. I am not surprised but a bit sad.

I'd really, really like a pot of good Keemun right now. It will be Sunday before I can get any.

I'm drinking a mug of chamomile and lavender herb tea. My daughter is reading a book series in which faeries eat flowers. Of course, now she wants to eat (or at least drink) flowers, so I tried to find something that doesn't taste too terrible. I was also catching up on the free trade magazine Tea & Coffee that can be read online or downloaded. One of the recent issues has an interesting article about the various styles of Chinese tea. The articles are geared toward people in "the business" like importers, but are often informative. |

I'm having a decaf coffee from an ALDI brand K-Cup. I'm waiting until morning to try some Da Hong Pao oolong that I got today. |
