I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you get another good screen.

I gave up on the Oasis after trying two of them and appreciate my Voyage, which has a near perfect screen, even more these days. Now I'm concerned if (when) something happens to it, whether I'll ever find a screen this good again.

I exchanged about 3 Voyages before I got a good screen. Still had a bit of a gradient but I learned to ignore it... Maybe consider getting yourself a tablet? The text is razor sharp, you can change the background colour to black and have white text at night time, and also activate a blue light filter which does wonders for eye strain...

I only read on e-ink readers. I already have two very good 8 inch tablets but I don't read on them.

I never used to but the blue light filter apps and/or Moon Reader + Blue light eye care filter changed all that... Still prefer e ink though.
