				jharker:would you please write a guide on installing iLiadPowerManagement
			 
			
			I change my battery as your guide iLiad Battery Hacks: Part 2 -- 35 hours of battery life! A how-to guide.  but I don't understand the step 6-- install the software then I tried to copy the unziped floder into my iliad and click on the start.sh but my iliad became continuing reboot and obviously installed unseccessfully maybe my iliad is V2.12 and yours is V2.11 could you please give me a guide about installing your iliadpowermanagement thank you very much Last edited by tudou331100; 01-21-2009 at 11:59 PM. |

			The easiest way is to install drop bear on your iLiad, connect to with with Winscp, and copy the folders from the install folder to the / directory.

			Yes, Adam is correct.  I should be clear: the software provided with the guide is NOT auto-install.  You have to manually copy the files to the correct places in the directory structure, and the only way to do that is to either write a script to do it, or ssh into your iLiad and copy the files manually. 			One more thing.  After you install the software, you MUST fully charge the battery while the iLiad is turned on.  You should wait for at least an hour after the charging light turns off. This allows the software to properly calibrate what "full" means. If you don't do this, you may drain your batteries to an excessively low level, which can shorten their life. |
