Amazon offers "Cloud Service" -
Open an account (I think you can still get a 'free' (as in Free Lunch) service) -
Contact Amazon Kindle Customer Support - have them either transfer or copy ALL documents to your non-Kindle cloud account.

Then you can use any of the many S3 utilities to recovery your older documents.
s3cmd is one such utility, and we have a build here that runs on the Kindles.

Actually, if you already have an Amazon account with personal docs stored, you don't need to open another account--all of your Kindle docs are already accessible at https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive You can download them from there to your computer and do whatever you want to them.
