Also, to save the cows you need to abandon items manufactured with processes using hydraulics. That would include most metals and plastics. I'm just glad I found the Best Buy thread so I could order it and get it when I was expecting it before they changed my shipping date on Amazon (actually a week earlier).
I'm getting tired of reading on my tablet since I gave my Kindle to my mom, who can't afford any Kindle right now. I thought it would be OK, but it's really bugging my eyes even on sepia. I think it's the eyes are getting older thing more than the device. It didn't bother me at all when I gave the Kindle away 2 years ago. The last 6 months or so it's driving me up the wall. So I'm a little desperate to get it sooner than later and go back to e-ink. Part of it is my vision is changing during the year - myopia and presbyopia actually got better last year strangely. I think the myopia is a little better again now, I have to get checked again because I'm feeling strain with my glasses on. My mom is loving the Kindle though so it's worth it .

As to the leather question, vegans don't want to use animal product even though the animal is already killed -- for the same reason pro life activists oppose embryonic stem cell research even when using embryos created for purpose of infertility treatment that will not be used and instead be destroyed anyway

Geez, $85 USD for that leather origami flop-all-over-everywhere junk! Bezos has lost his mind! I wouldn't pay $85 for a cover, even a custom made leather cover. That is insane.

You probably don't want to hear about my Oberon leather covers I bought for my K1 and K3 back when.

We have choices on what we spend out money on and what is important to us.
One could by the non leather version of the Origami also. Which is the one I got for a $20 off prime now coupon. Although I prefer a top flip cover that is solid, it works quite well. But I read the Voyage nekkid anyway and its how I will read my Oasis. Hopefully I get a good screen like I did with the Voyage.

I have this cover and loved it when I first got it. It was beautiful and smelled wonderful. I didn't like the way it aged however and have gone back to my non premium leather Origami cover. I am a big fan of the Origami cover in general.

Lol, well I have to admit I can't see what I have typed when I switch from contacts to glasses so I had no idea I even made it I can only sort of read when I switch, but not enough to focus on each letter for a while because I go from a reading and a distance contact to glasses and my eyes and brain take a while to get together.

A custom made, maybe. If it's beautiful enough and different enough. A generic cover? No.
