The battery life is disappointing, even allowing for the fact that it was always going to be disappointing. - I was just going to say about the 200 pages the reviewer read before getting a battery warning. So - that's about one skim through of the daily newspaper before it expires???

I am quite interested in the ergonomics, now that I've got used to how it looks, but not with that battery life..

6 hours to read 200 pages?! If it gets down to 10% after only 200-odd page turns, that's considerably less than 6 hours for many people on here

Note that he had WiFi turned on. That's a major battery hog. You can generally expect to double the battery life of a reader by turning off WiFi.

Well if we are talking about 200 paperback pages (1900-2000 characters per page) and not 200 "screens" (expecially with font size 5+) , and about reading fiction is 6 hours that slow?

I would guess my average when reading english (which is not my native language) fiction would be something around 35 pages per hour, so 200 pages is 5.71 hours.

I think that was for the WiFi only.

The release date for the 3G models in the US is May 4th. My delivery date is the same. I ordered the day it was announced.
