Showing Kindle books in Calibre - Page 2

Basically 95% of my books in calibre are Epubs
I have a few Kindle books which I have converted.
But cant seem to get them to show And the ones that do some have the blue kindle icon and some not
I seem to not grasp all your help guys sorry.

How exactly can I see my kindle books and how can I make them all show the blue kindle icon?

Need some clarification about what you mean when you say "cant seem to get them to show".
Do you mean you can't READ them in the calibre E-Book Reader?

If they SHOW on calibre's Main Screen, you are only 2 steps away from the finish line!

Look at the two pictures that are attached and follow the instructions.

Sorry I am not being very clear.
I want to keep Epub as my default file in Calibre.

But can't see the kindle books in my Calibre window if I should need to occasionally.

EPUB is the default (Conversion format) in My Calibre also

That has nothing to do with seeing books on any connected device
UNLESS
you have a (search) filter eg formats:EPUB
That only persists until you switch views (Device<->Library)

If you TRY and send a book to your device
AND
it does not have a supported format in the Library: Calibre asks if you want to Convert (to the first supported on the list)

Each device driver COMES with a list of supported formats selected
You can change the preferred order. I would not recommend enabling a different format without exact knowledge of your devices capability to handle it.

Note: If you were a Calibre with Kindle 2 user years ago, your CONFIGURED device list WILL reflect the capabilities of a K2.
Calibre does NOT change an existing preference.

Later, plugging in a K4 does not auto change it, enabling the AZW3 format. You need to update your device preferences.

Or is your real question: "How can I see which book I have, that are already IN a kindle format?"

Use the Tag Browser: Formats Section and make a Plus appear nekt to the formats you want to show (You do need to know which those are. There is no Show Kindle [driver preferences] type books)

Thank you very much Ducks. I tend to have mostly Epub books in calibre. I import them to my Android devices.
The problem also with that is the page I am up to on the book doesn't sync between devices. As I use Aldiko.
I have a few kindle ones and just wondered why they didn't show when I opened calibre too.
