How to mark books as read has been discussed here a lot. There are several ways to do it. I would suggest doing a search and seeing if any fit you.

I would ctrl+alt+left/right to my HaveRead virtual library, those mayn't be the default kb-shorts, maybe I could train Cortana to do it, but I need the exercise
