Folks from Russian kindle community confirm the problem. Perhaps we face the trouble only with Russian text.

That's exactly where it is on the older firmware, too. Just checked on my Voyage running 5.6.5.

I updated my Voyage. The menu organization and tabbed pop-up windows are nice. But bottom line is this update does absolutely nothing to improve the actual experience of reading the text of a book or document. THAT is where they need improvement, and THAT is where they have always needed improvement. I still much prefer reading in the Kindle app on my iPhone and iPad. The Voyage is used only rarely or if I go outside during the daytime to read.

After downloading and installing the update on my Voyage, it got stuck on page 1 of 7 in the Getting Started guide. It took me a few minutes to make it turn pages. Touching the > symbol at the bottom-right of the screen did nothing, nor did swiping, nor did pressing harder. What finally worked was thumping my finger down on it rather hard! I got frustrated, but that actually worked. (BTW, I keep the page buttons on the sides turned off, so they could not be used in this instance.) After I got through the Getting Started guide I noticed that I had to thump hard on some menu icons to get them to work. Other icons and turning pages within books worked fine, that is, by gently touching the screen. After using the Voyage for a little while the need to thump hard on menu icons seems to be going away. I'm not sure what caused this interface issue nor why it seems to be getting better with use.

No it's the version before with the 212 ppi display. I keep following other communities and threads and read about people complaining that they can't read properly anymore because of the thinner font shapes. Some of these people have contacted Kindle Customer Support and reported about it. Hope that the masses of complaints will result towards an change. Maybe they could add a (bold / normal) selectionbox to the fonts menu, so people can choose which shape they prefer. Let's wait. Nonetheless: Some changes in 5.7.2 are great, some are worse.

Strange. I have the Voyage as well and for me it seems like the reading experience is slightly better than before. I keep the pagepress on, but I have it as high pressure so I don't accidentally turn pages. It seems to be working much more fluidly since the update (as least to my non scientific observations)

I do not know how I missed that, I looked for it before and did not see. Oh well I guess I am just getting old.

I am liking the reading experience better too, I had my pressure set to low on the old firmware and I raised it to high on the updated firmware and it works even better than before.
With the old firmware I would have to press it multiple times to get the page to switch, even with it set to low, but with the new firmware I have set it to high and it works better than on low before. So I am happy.

I coudn't get your test book to work either, but another Russian book converted with KindleGen worked just fine.

If you used Calibre to convert your book it might be a conversion issure or if you de-drmed it, it might be corrupted.
(When I selected a word in your book, the screen would flash, but nothing happened.)

Nope, it was a wrong assumption. I've tried out English book converted from fb2 to azw3 by freeLib: no quotation ribbon as well.

I've just re-compiled your P. G. Wodehouse sample book and it works fine. I.e. the problem must have been caused by the freeLib converter.
