AZW3 conversion in Calibre 2.43 does not load to Kindle Voyage

			Dear experts,

Calibre is an amazing software. I sincerely appreciate it. Now I'm using Kindle Voyage. Firmware version 5.6.5. Then I converted an EPUB book to AZW3 format using Calibre 2.4.3. After pumping it to my Kindle, although the file exist in the `document/` directory, it does not load in my Kindle. Strangely, Kindle can view the content of existing AZW3 files which I converted using Calibre older version. How can I resolve the issue? Best, Fool |

Try rebooting your Kindle. Occasionally new books don't show up until a reboot.

I'm having the same issue with a Paperwhite 2. Are you using a Mac?

For what it's worth, I was having the same issue. MOBI files show up, AZW3 files weren't showing up all of a sudden, even though I've been loading them for years. AZW3 files showed up in the directory structure, but wouldn't appear on the Kindle. I submitted a bug request with Calibre and I was told immediately that it was an indexing problem, which I knew it wasn't because I had already checked that.

Turning off the wifi seemed to solve the issue for me. I've historically had it turned off but had it on this time. I don't know why that makes a difference but I guess I will have to remember to turn it off before side loading books. I let the people at Calibre know. |

A stuck indexing process is a common cause of this problem and is definitely worth checking.

Didn't you post that here as well, and also mention that the AZW3 files were entirely new books (not the same as the EPUB you converted from)? I think something odd is going on... Quote:

![]() What happens when you try opening the AZW3 files on your Kindle, using calibre's E-Book Viewer? |
