Good evening everybody, I am getting a new kindle paperwhite 3 and I am new to the e-Readers stuff. I have read that starting from the fw update of KPW2 you can't jailbreak the device unless you do the serial mode and I don't want to mess with my kindle so early. I have a big collection (about 500) of eBooks on my calibre library of different formats. my questions is what is the best way to copy the eBooks and sorting them on the kindle? |

Convert any other formats to mobi or azw, then copy over via USB. Sorting is done the same no matter the source of the books. There is a sort by menu item on the home page. You can sort by most recent, title, author, or collections.

Just send with calibre, calibre will automatically handle sending the right formats. You can use a metadata plugboard to e.g. prepend series info to the title in the exported copies. Then you could sort by title and get series for free. That would be "sorting". For "collections" you will have to get an older Kindle, risk the serial port, or buy a Kobo. |
