They did this deal last year--be careful to note that you must buy them AT their store. Lots of places sell them, but you have to buy them there and note that you cannot SPEND the 10 dollar card until after Christmas (so if you intended to give it away also, make sure the person knows they can't spend it until AFTER CHristmas.)

B&N has more funky rules than anyone on the planet. They even beat out Kobo with the insanity.

Who can know? Some places are doing the exact same deal as last year (There was a big article that did comparisons on places like Best Buy and Staples--BB has lots of repeats and staples did not). I think sometimes they do these early announcements to check interest. That doesn't mean that on the day of they won't announce other deals--or if that fall flat, maybe announce more for Cyber Monday. It's totally hit/miss. Mostly I think the deals are pretty flat this year (and I thought that last year too). I haven't seen anything to get too excited about yet.

I haven't done much with BN for a couple of years, but a few years ago, they offered the same deal in stores, and there you could (or at least the staff let me) buy several $75 gift cards and get several $10 bonus cards. I stacked up the $75 gift cards on a Nook for a present, and then after Christmas, I was able to use the bonus cards for ebooks.

The e-gift card deal was one per, but the in-store deal, at least at my local store, was as many as you wanted.

Oh yeah, and I had to chase down the one e-gift bonus card after Christmas - they were supposed to email it to me, but didn't, so I had to email them a couple of times.
