Custom Column Help Please

Hello:

I need a little help please. I have the following custom column which is where I enter all the places I have purchased a copy of a book. Yes there are many that I have more than one type of copy. ie: ebook, paperback, audiobok. This is how it is setup:

I am trying to create a second custom column which will count the number of entries in the first custom column. This is how it is setup:

I am getting a Template Error. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and more importantly how to do it correctly??

I think you forgot the golden rule of custom columns -- it is "#purchased1", not "purchased1"

Also, the count() help says:

Quote:

count(val, separator) -- interprets the value as a list of items separated by `separator`, returning the number of items in the list. Most lists use a comma as the separator, but authors uses an ampersand. Examples: {tags:count(,)}, {authors:count(&)}

i.e. look at the examples -- you can simply use

Code:

{#purchased1:count(,)}

No need to mess around with template program mode at all, though you can if you want.

Same difference either way, just thought I'd point out that the shorter way works as well.
