I just got back from Atlantic City, much poorer than when I got there.

But now I am the proud owner of the most beeauuuutiful purse.



In the light it looks silverish and the leather is like buttah..

And no, don't ask me how much it cost, because it was a lot even after two 30% discounts. But they also gave me a $65 purse keyfob because I'm in their special club (aka I spend too much money at their store)

I've got migraine again. Of course, I don't consider this "sick", but just a simple ongoing "ailment", so I know it doesn't count. However, if Queen Zee can be imposed upon to grant it "sickness" status when she grants freedom from same until spring, then that would be most pleasing. I'd happily bear her children for such a boon (I've got the hips, if not the haven, for them).

It's MR's fault - the "penmanship and calligraphy" thread was so interesting I decided to research fountain pens and handwriting - and stumbled across pen spinning as a consequence.

I've ordered a Lamy Safari fountain pen to see what a decent pen is like, and if it improves my illegible scrawl. I'm starting to find posher fountain pens dangerously desirable - so I'm half hoping my handwriting is irredeemable, and I can stick to biros.

It won't work Most people report their handwriting improves after using a fountain pen, but even if it doesn't once you discover the pleasure of writing with a fountain pen you'll want to try others, and then have several so you can keep different coloured inks on the go.

yes, and pretty soon you'll be collecting them almost fetishistically, because they're pretty or because of the way they feel in your hand... not that i would know about that.

I don't have a shoe problem. I have an inability to wear the shoes I buy and covet problem (I have a small collection of very nice, quirky, high heel shoes. Unfortunately, I can't walk in high heels except indoors... And the yeti is no help - he encourages me to buy shoes I can't wear cos he likes them too (on me, not him...))
