Problem with sending ebooks via Mail

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this Forum and I need some help.

I use calibre version 2.37.1 and I always transfered my ebooks from the programm to the cloud via Mail.
Just right click on the book -> send Mail to xxxx@kindle.com

Till now the transfer has always worked. But then it stopped and I dont know why. Now I need you guys.

My OS: Windows 10 - Reinstalled Win 8.1 yesterday-> still doesnt work, now I'm on 10 again

My gadget: kindle Paperwhite

Firewall: Programm is allowed

I always get the same error Code. I will copy it into the spoiler below.
Maybe you know more than me. That would be great.

It's failing with the message "Ein Verbindungsversuch ist fehlgeschlagen, da die Gegenstelle nach einer bestimmten Zeitspanne nicht richtig reagiert hat, oder die hergestellte Verbindung war fehlerhaft, da der verbundene Host nicht reagiert hat"

But I don't speak German so I don't know what that means.

P.S. You *may* want to delete your Kindle's email address from the logs.

Something is blocking the transaction in one direction or the other. (no answer received, could be because the connection never made it there)

It might be a (new) georestriction (DE?)

Or the server is off line (but I doubt that)

GMX is sited just west of Köln in Nordrhein-Westfalen in Bundesrepublik Deutschland - that is DE. Parent company is biggest ISP in that country, it's listed on the DAX

Well it happened several times in the period Nov 2014-April 2015. It's parent company United Internet kept 'losing' the DNS entries for itself and its subsidiaries. Not for a moment or two - in some instances for a day or two! It was geo selective - New Joisey, Hong Kong, Sydney...

Yes i can Ping gmx.com. Before i Used the gmx Server i just Used My @web.de Mail and it worked Fine. The only difference is that i got a new router from My Internet Provider. Its a Speedport Hybrid. Previously i had a fritzbox and all worked fine. Unfortunately i cant use it anymore because i got an ip connection (dsl + lte)

Check the filtering on the router, seems odd it would block mail logon.

Can you send/receive mail to and from your gmx account via regular means. If you can, try both a desktop client and via the gmx web mail interface.

If you got the router from your ISP (Telekom.de ?) then you might want to contact them - they may have 'tweaked' the router.

As stab in the dark, but is there any chance that the email address calibre is using has changed or that you Kindle account has changed so that it no longer lists the email address. Amazon will block emails from sending addresses that are not listed in your My Kindle account.

If Amazon was rejecting a properly sent email, calibre would not show an error.

calibre would successfully send the email, and the email account would get an email reply saying Amazon rejected the books because _____.

Amazon will block emails from sending addresses that are not listed in your My Kindle account.
