News download & vanishing trick

Hi,
I am experiencing a curious but very annoying problem: Everytime I download (scheduled or manually) news contents via the preset news recipes of Calibre, I see the data in the library, I can open it and read it BUT - after closing the read window, the data is gone. I have to look it up under ...AppData\Local\Temp\calibrexxxyyyzzz and to copy it to the library folder to make it a permanent item.
What am I doing wrong in the first place and who/what is throwing my news files out?

What is your Delete News older than n days setting? (60 is default)
right-click News: Schedule News

No, that setting is fine-30 days

There are only three things that can cause calibre to auto delete news:

1) The delete news downloaded older than global setting
2) Int he advanced tab of an indvidual recipe you can tell calibre to keep at most x issues
3) Delete news from library when it is sent to reader in (Preferences->Behavior)
