If we shoot you, we'll need a good lawyer to keep us out of the pokey...And that means billing hours to some young lawyer, no? (After all, you'll be dead, which usually stops billing hours...or at least court appearances!)

Hm. The kimono has already been given to its recipient, but I'll see what I can do. (I may be able to get the girls to pose with the ones I made for them this year. I'd blur the faces, as I don't like putting my kids' photos anywhere on the internet, but they might not mind showing off the kimonos. Maybe after I get the obi done.) It's weird. I probably come across as an interfering tree-hugger pinko pacifist to a lot of people (well, I am some of those things), but I just can't imagine interfering in anyone's private life to the extent of trying to regulate how many cats they have, so long as they are all well cared for and in good health. I mean, you're paying to take good care of these animals. It's not like you're asking for anyone else to support you in this project. If they were breeding and running into other people's yards and decimating the local migratory bird population or something, I might be able to see it. In fact, I thought it had been explained to me that the Texas philosophy was rather live-and-let-live, with the right to shoot anyone who tells you otherwise thrown in as a bonus. |

didn't your fridge already die recently, and it turned out to be something easy like the fuse ? maybe you'll get lucky and it's that again. or maybe the cats unplugged it.

However, I have a very (very) bad habit of hanging grocery bags on the handle of the fridge door, and sometimes it keeps the door from closing properly, which makes the fridge die from exhaustion. The thing is, I can't put the bags on the kitchen counter, because the cats will pee on them, and I really hate food that has been peed on. I suppose I should invest in a hat rack or something for the kitchen .... or .... ohhhh ..... just got an idea for my next project!!

I have three cats and one dog; I renovated my home with lots of tile to accommodate pets. One cat or another usually sits behind my computer when I use it. It's horrifying that they monitor your email. It's the paradox of email and DRM. I hope some measure of privacy can be restored under Obama. |

I'm eating a box of Courvoisier filled chocolates that I got for Christmas. I don't particularly like chocolate (don't ban me from the forum for that) but I do like cognac. Any VS,VSOP,XO or any other will do thankyou. |

Oh, man ... if I thought they could monitor my email, I would be most peeved with them, and I'm peeved enough already. I renovated my condo to be very pet friendly, however, it was too small for the growing fur-family. I purchased this house specifically because it would be good for the cats and dogs (concrete floors for one thing .... easy to maintain, and really high ceilings so I could build 9 foot tall cat towers). And, here's where the real paradox exists. The only reason that the Council of Total Assholes can monitor any of my internet activity is because I am entirely transparent on the internet. I sign my own name to my opinions. I don't think I've used a handle other than my own name more than twice in 25 years. I'm pretty much the same offline as well. In fact, more than one of my neighbors say that I (in their words) really need to learn how to lie. I'm no good at it, never have been .... my only way to avoid telling the truth is to keep my mouth shut (and I'm really awful at that too). Now sarcasm .... that I can do!! So, I just post a bunch of seriously sarcastic and utterly insane stuff in my profiles now, and suggest that anyone who wants to take any of it seriously should give their head a good shake and see if anything rattles.
