Is there a Calibre like application for Movies?

I am slowly converting my DVD collection to AVI or MP4 files and wondering if anyone knows of a good movie library application like Calibre.

I don't need conversion or sync. Thanks |

My wife is hearing impaired, so generally I rip movies into .avi files with close captioning or subtitles. We use rockplayer to watch them on android phones. |

I know this is an old thread; just came across it this instant. I use Media Monkey for audio and visual files I own. I'd love to find an app or software to complement it, that works like Goodreads.

The free version is limited to 50 movies. The pro version is about $8 but well worth it. |

I have Eric's Movie Database. It's free though you can buy a license that allows you to put your own name on it in your copy. It links with IMDB to fill in data for your movies after you put in the title and click on search.

			I use Plex.

It was difficult at first but once you get into the swing of it it works well. I rip the DVDs using Winx I then standardise the titles using FileBot (this uses a few internet databases of films and TV shows to obtain the exactly correct name and year) Then I import the file to Plex. Then use "update library" function. This gets the films poster, information about the film and puts it int a searchable library. |

Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! I"ll check them out. Vans, does Plex allow one to enter "empty files" (i.e., catalogue titles you haven't ripped)? Some titles I own are online, meant for streaming only, and I won't break the rules by ripping them.
