exiguous. From "Valley of Fear" in the Sherlock Holmes Omnibus. Love the Kindle dictionary feature. When reading books from the early 1900's, there are many words that aren't in use anymore. Usually I can tell from how a word is used in a sentence what it means. Not so much with early works. "very small in size or amount" |

One of my most favorite words: pulchritudinous From Latin- pulchra, meaning beautiful. Don't know why a whole bunch of letter at the end.. |

The things you learn at MR. I don't recall hearing either one of them before. So, is it possible for an plutocracy to be pulchritudinous or for an orgy to be orgulous?

a hirsutely pulchritudinous dog became increasingly orgulous in proportion to his burgeoning sesquipedalian vocabulary.

This hirsute pulchritidinous dog became pugnacious after recalling the donnybrook at the local watering hole where his bon ami was defenestrated.
