Kindle Voyage - First Impressions - Page 105

Could you have both on the same page and the same justification? Having a different page and different justification makes it harder to compare both of them.

With my old eyes they both look about the same, and they both are very readable as for as I am concerned.

my first impressions , after buying a voyage 3g is that amazon has not thought in ergonomics when designing this model, difficult to hold, your hand is not in a natural position to press the buttons.
I know 3g uses a lot of battery , but i expected at least 2 or 3 days without charging, after 4hours of use the battery is at a low level-and not indexing.

Respecting pdf i expected some improvements, but they are dissapointing, some letters dissapear from the words aleatorily, the 2 tap option doesnt work in all pdf.it doesnt keep the zoom option when passing page.

Well , a dissapointing buy,

I did not notice if this was answered or not but can you disable the page turn buttons and just use the touch screen. When I looked at the voyage at Best Buy I did not like it due to the button position. I was always turning pages when I did not want to.

you can turn off pagepress altogether or you can change the amount of pressure it takes for the page turn to take place: settings > reading options > pagepress

The Voyage just looks so terrible. The color gradient is awful. Sure hope that gets fixed on the next version. Love my H2O but ready to get back into the Amazon ecosystem.

Not all Voyages are awful. Mine is fine and I prefer to read on that than the H20

Um, I was looking at your own pictures. Your Voyage is terrible looking with a huge color gradient. Sorry.

If you think it's terrible it would be sensible to avoid it. Very few people see the colour gradient (I can't see it on mine).

People have indeed mentioned it, but a very small number compared to the number of happy users. Most people simply do not see the colour gradient. That's why I suggested that you avoid the Voyage if you're sensitive to it. Sorry if you disagree with that advice.

I don't believe that Harry said that "no one else has ever mentioned it", only that he doesn't notice. I have a Voyage, and I don't notice it either. There are many many people that DON'T see it, as well as many that do. There have actually been threads about it on here, I think there may even have been a poll about it.

All Harry is saying is that if you are one of the unfortunate people who DO see it, then it's probably not a good idea for you to buy a Voyage.

Perhaps your should read my post again. I obviously see it and am bothered by it when compared to other high-end readers like the H2O. I hope to see Amazon fix the issue in the next generation model like they did with the PW1 --> PW2.
