I see $14.99 at the Amazon.com US store and the publisher is HarperCollins, yet you see $9.99 and Allison & Busby as the publisher, very strange.

Even more strange, once I actually select the book the price on the Amazon.com US site goes up to $15.88.

I wonder what the price would be if I add it to my cart?

Just for the heck of it, I checked it out too (on Amazon.com, from Australia).

If I go via Amazon's onsite search, I see it as $9.99, published by Allison & Busby. (I have localised currency disabled.) But if I go to Amazon's Author's page for Winspear, it's listed as $14.99 from HarperCollins, but I can't try it in my shopping basket because it says "not yet available for purchase".

So maybe the copyright has been acquired, but the newer release is listed but not yet active at retail?

Well, someone's listening (viewing)!!

The price on Winspear's 'A Dangerous Place' has been reduced in Aus to:
$14.87 (from $19.99)

Amazon's price is still: $12.93

Good work Kobo for recognising that it was over priced and reducing it.

(Now, as the book is discountable, if we were part of the monthly Contest in Aus we wouldn't think twice about buying the ebook from Kobo.)

my experience is for novel,price is similar,but for non fictional book,amazon is always cheaper, especially for kindle daily deal. That is why I switch from Aura HD to PW

but unfortunately, PW screen is too small, so I have to switch back to H2O and sideload kindle books

Overnight I received a Kobo latest releases email to my Aus account. All well and good, except the interesting part was at the very bottom of the email, in French, I was invited to buy my Mother a Glo HD for Mother's Day.

It is Mother's Day in Aus on May 10, and it is Mother's Day in France on May 31 .... so both eventualities are covered.

Except, I haven't been to France for over a decade, nor shopped in the Kobo France store. So ......

Brodie thanks for taking an interest in this matter.

I think an efficient way for you to identify the email sent to all Australian account holders (and I suspect it was the standard email that was sent to all Aus account holders), is to know that the email was received at 5.20am, 1 May (Aus time/date), and that it was sent from:
reply@shop.kobo.com

Below are some more identifying photos that would be consistent across all Aus email account holders.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance. I am not complaining, but I thought that you'd probably want to know about it. My guess is it's a simple miscopying of the data to be included in the email.

On another matter, on the Aus home page today, the word 'moms' appears in the Mothers Day promo on the top right of the page. That is tacky, very tacky ..... we spell 'mums' as 'mums'. (photo attached)

Brodie: According to the specs at https://us.kobobooks.com/products/kobo-aura-h2o, the Aura H2O doesn't have an external micro SD card slot. I assume that is an error. Or does the US get a different device than the rest of the world.

If the US does get a different model H2O, then I have been using an illegal alien device as my H2O has an micro SD card slot.
