Can't say I blame you if it's working well the size is just about right to read on.

My main reason for switching is lollipop seemed just to much for my 2012 nexus 7 and I got a very good price on a brand new Note Pro 12.2 also the s-pen appeals to me I like the idea of a built in stylus.

I have read the 2013 model copes much better with lollipop, I'm not sure how the Note Pro is going to be for reading it's a good bit bigger but I've still got my Sony T1 and my G3 with its 5.5 inch screen.

my wife's Nexus 7 2012 is working very good on 5.1. But it was almost unusable with 5.0 - 5.0.2. My Nexus 7 2013 worked so so on 5.0 but got much better with 5.0.2. But now it is on 5.1 and it is working great. I am not seeing the issue with it slowing down due to memory leaks like I was with 5.0.2.
But other than the performance there does not seem to be any changes.

Just received the OTA upgrade for my 2013 , so far so good!

I have no problems with my Nexus 7 2013 under the 5.02 OTA.

Have just unstored my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 & installed the CM12.1 (lollipop 5.1) as a new device. No real problems so far as haven't added or done too much with it; will mainly be using it as a remote control for my AV, hopefully (that's where the problem app is with its javascript error).

Just installed the 5.1 OTA update on my Nexus 7 2013 wifi and wiped the cache partition. We'll see how it goes.

The only real problem I ever had with 5.0.1/2 was; if I went a couple of weeks without a reboot, the device would eventually start acting a bit squirrelly and would spontaneously reboot FOR me. If I could find the time to reboot once a week, or so ... there were no issues.

There was a memory leak bug on 5.0 that could very well explain the problem you describe, requiring a reboot every now and then when too much memory had been lost. The 5.1 update addresses this issue.

5.1 is doing a great job of cleaning up unused memory on my nexus 7 2013. It is work a lot better and also seems to be faster too.

Had to reboot once already after 5.1 touch screen became unresponsive but seems to be working now.

That's cool. Once I knew the problem, it wasn't a big deal to reboot occasionally. But it would be nice to not have to remember.

Faster would be great! Despite memory and battery issues, I felt the initial upgrade to Lollipop provided a huge performance gain on my hardware. Touch response and overall speed felt much, much improved. If 5.1 has even more noticeable gains in that area, I'll be a very happy man indeed!

Minor improvements on my 2012 Nexus 7 at best. Waiting for 5.1.1 now, although so far it seems confirmed only for the 2013 model.

My Nexus 7.2 2013 got the update a couple of days ago. Its on 5.1 now, was on I think 5.0 something? Can't remember. Works fine, which is all I care about. Its stock, I don't do rooting or otherwise fiddle with my devices.

Has anyone heard of the new update doing this? I was at 30% battery and was surfing the web on my Nexus 7 when I got notification that my battery was critically low at 0% and then my Nexus shut down I plugged into charger and restarted and battery is at 29% I've never had anything like that happen before.

Now confirmed for 2012 Nexus 7. Google has posted the factory images. If you want to, you can flash the images now, or wait for the OTA.

I've not experienced that yet, but then ... my battery rarely gets down that low. Maybe I should let it and see.

I had to restart again! Touch Screen became unresponsive. This is the second time this has happened since 5.1 update. I've never had one issue before with my Nexus before the update.
