My Aura's battery's been drained to ~0% a couple of times this week. I'm running 3.12.1 (wrong thread, but battery drain was discussed here earlier and AIUI 3.12.1 is not much different to 3.12.0) and a third-party sleep cover. I'm fairly sure the reader is sleeping properly. |

. Would recommend contacting Kobo once you've ruled out anything obvious. I tried the following before contacting them:- Disabling the sleep cover Recalibrating battery Factory resetting Reverting to firmware 3.8 Reuploading all my side-loaded epubs after re-converting them to ensure it wasn't a bad file Replacing battery When none of these worked I contacted Kobo and they sent me a replacement which is working fine. Hope you get sorted! Last edited by itsmir; 02-06-2015 at 03:04 PM.

Gah...36% since last night when it was on the charger....I don't think it was "asleep" though, despite the cover being closed. Last edited by booklover6; 02-07-2015 at 09:18 AM.

Technically, when you don't turn pages, there is no screen change,no power needed to refresh the screen and so the battery must be full, only the light uses power, so for me 3.12 makes it a bit harder, the ghosting is very high while you would think,if it falls to sleep, the screen is of, so why the ghosting if the screen is off.. and why the battery drainage when the sleep is on.. both behave tells me that it doens't go into sleep.. or not fully !

Nick, I decided to go back to 3.11.0 too. There was a lot of ghosting in 3.12. I decided to factory reset, and my wifi kept dropping, so I connected it to the kobo desktop, where it downloaded the 3.12.1 update. I copied over 3.11.0 on top of it, then disconnected. Saved me a step! |

I've seen no difference in battery drain or ghosting between firmware 3.11.0 and 3.12.1 on my Glo.

Code: E60Q9*) [ "$RES" == "800x600" ] && echo pika || echo alyssum;; There isn't much evidence in libnickel to suggest which way they are going.

There is enough "credible" info that the mini didn't sell enough devices to justify it's existence that I'm not sure I believe that.

Yes, that's the problem with the theory. I just can't think of another good reason to release an 800x600 device. Unless they have plans for a really cheap 6" device. Maybe they think a full-featured 5" device will sell. People might be more interested in a 5" device with light and SD card. We'll just have to wait and see.
