I have recommended Marvin in the past, but I am not so sure now because support has gone from great to practically non-existent.

I recently moved back to the iOS world after years using Android mostly and was worried I wouldn't find something to replace Moonreader. I was so impressed with Bookreader I sprung for the $5.99 version. Excellent formatting and options for epubs and it also does well with PDFs.

I recommend Bluefire Reader for use with ePub that have DRM like those from Overdrive.

For one, there are unsolved issues with the calibre plugins, where a big incentive to use Marvin was the unparalleled integration with calibre. Not really kguil's job, of course. |

The developer seems to have stopped responding to support requests in the Marvin forum here on MR. E.g., cover pages do not display properly on IPad minis - they are usually broken across two pages.

I have an iPad mini and I don't suffer this problem with covers. As I said just because he doesn't reply here does not mean he does not respond to support requests via his website. This imho is a better way to respond as more users would go there than to MR for support.

I get the problem on my IPad mini 2. Perhaps Marvin is not detecting the device correctly?

Anyone tried the latest version of Google Play Books? Not as feature rich as other apps, but I love that it syncs your actual books through the cloud and not just your reading position. Now I can just upload once and not have to worry about uploading again on my other devices. You can even bulk upload books through the website, and you can read books on the website, too. A good app for those that prefer convenience to features. |

You can do the same thing with Kindle for iOS. Dunno which is more featureful, as I don't have an iDevice. |

The OP has expressed a disinterest in faffing around with calibre, but you have not. Thus I thought it worth mentioning. Expecting an internet forum thread to keep strictly on topic is just this side of naïve. |
