Congrat! I know you will LOVE the phone...I am also using Straight Talk from Wally world....costs me just under $50 with taxes and by the doing auto pay from bank acct. I get unlimited text, calls within the US and 3 gig download at hi-speed per month. I've had SS for a little over a year and I have been super happy with no problems. Let us know when you get the phone....know it will keep you busy for many days.

I don't do auto refill but go to Walmart and buy a card every month. It's about $48.50. I have no complaints. I don't use their data except when I am out and about. There are some restriction one should know about. ST doesn't allow downloading, Streaming or uploading. So do that on WiFi. It's fine those for Maps, Surfing, Email and checking Social Media using 4G.

Ah the call minutes wouldn't work for me.

I was curious always looking for a better deal.

WOW! I had no idea about the Streaming....I do have to say when I had my Fire Phone on ST I had started an episode of Justified on my WIFI and I took it on a walk and the phone kept the streaming going and it had a notice on the screen that I was on carrier data?!?

New addition to my Fire Phone..just purchased a Sharkk BoomBox bluetooth speaker for the phone and all of my other BT gadgets. If you are looking for a BT speaker check this one out. Love being able to sit the Fire on top of the speaker and it pairs and speaker remember last BT device and auto pairs the next time.

It's very confusing believe me. See this article here that pretty much sums it up and be sure to look at the graphic ad in the article. I wouldn't be surprise if Straight Talk doesn't get sued again for false advertising.

If you go to the ST forum you will find the ST operators tell you different that streaming, uploading, downloading isn't allowed. When I saw that ad ealier this year I was hopeful it may have changed but the ST Operators have not changed their answers on it.

The worst they can do is put you on dial up speed for the reminder of your card time.

I have downloaded apps too by accident. Technically you are not suppose to but people still do. It's all about what network and how much bandwidth you are taking if you get caught or not.

See my mom and sis talk alot. One call might be one to two hours then my hubby calls me from stores and driving asking me stuff. Would not work for me. My hubby is the only one I text back and forth when he is not driving of course.

I use T Mobile 10cents a min BUT the mins roll over if u buy the next mins before the deadline. Right now we have paid $100 over a 10 month time frame so are mins are good for 1 yr. + we get extra mins when we buy more which is about 8 cent a min. I don't Text or go on the internet when away from home I do all my internet streaming downloading at home thru wifi Free.

Some one said Apple updates were Free... Well so are Amazon updates, not sure what they mean.

YESSS I'm tickled to death about getting the phone!!

In WV & MD your Not allowed on the phone when in a running car! No Calls No Texting Nothing!

Are the speakers in the phone low? My Fire HD has Loud speakers & great sound. I did get a great deal the day After Christmas they had Battery operated $10 speakers for cell & tablets [not Bluetooth] for only $2.50

really good sound I was going to get more the next day but ALL 20 in my store Vanished!

I got the only purple 1 they had

driving while texting is banned here in NC and in TN as it should be but drivers over the age 18 can use their cells to talk on.
