Good morning, everyone! Happy Monday! We had a wonderful time Saturday at the Fencing Club, with a good turn out! (See video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mb96vGjO9o ) I can't wait to do it all again. This is a sport I really, really love! It's a moving chess game without the boring waiting around between moves. You need to think several moves ahead to play, then have the reflexes to carry them out.

I've got my new Ceylon tea in my mug this morning, and plan to hit the market this afternoon to see if it's going to be sold again this year. This was a X-mass special last year and I bought three tins. Already used almost two of them so I wouldn't mind re-stocking!

My second attempt at a home made [with no espresso machine] eggnog latte. Instead of using a steam wand on the eggnog it's just heated in a sauce pan on a burner and then whipped in a blender. The shot of espresso is replaced with as strong a cup of coffee as I can make in my home brewer machine. Not up to what I used to get at Coffee Romance in Portland, but not bad either. Better than anything available within a 100 miles. Of course adding a shot of brandy probably helped.

@Stitchawl: I hope you scored some more of that Ceylon. I know what it's like to run low of a "special release" tea. And then the worries: "Will they release it this year?" "Will it be as good this year?"

I've been drinking Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea all day. I'm nearly out until the new one is released in the spring. Going to be tough. (Oh, but wait - I have a whole 1/4 Lb. stashed away in the office. Hmmm, I think that's coming home!)

I just checked the Tea Locker... It appears I bought four tins last year. There are still two left, sealed up tightly. Regardless, I'll be very happy to buy three or four more if they show up again, but I'm beginning to doubt they will have it. It was a Christmas special offer, and Santa's been and gone.

I'm noticing a reduction in the variety of good quality teas that the supermarkets are carrying here, and an increase in the mid-priced 'flavored' teas put out by one or two companies. "Dilmah" must have 6-8 different flavors on offer here, along with their Ceylon (which isn't bad) tea... unless you try the decaffinated one.

I'm having a late afternoon cup of Ahmad's "English Breakfast" tea right now, and it's a good cup of tea!
