I noticed the clock isn't very accurate. Firmware 3.12

When I first got it (yesterday) I set the clock time, 6 hours later it was reading 3 hours too fast. So I reset it. Currently now the clock is reading about 50min. too fast. Issue solved - timezone wasn't set Last edited by christopher22; 12-27-2014 at 10:27 PM. Reason: issue solved adding smiley |

Clock on my Kobo readers are always correct. I think it checks with time standard when connected to internet. I seldom connect it to computer or internet.

I just checked and the H2O matches the computer time. Both showed 1:20pm.

The time should be adjusted automatically when wifi connects, but you need to have the correct date and time zone set to start with, and I think the current time needs to be fairly close to the correct time (within half an hour maybe?) for the automatic adjustment to work.

There are various problems that can occur if the time/date is not set accurately, such as some DRM books being unreadable, or books not showing on the home screen. |

The clock on my H2O seems to be pretty accurate even though it is never connected via Wi-Fi. When I received it in Oct. I let it do a firmware update OTA which is the only time it has ever connected via Wi-Fi to Kobo and I haven't had to adjust the clock since. Still running 3.11

Discovered timezone wasn't set, so when synching it just changed the time to GMT.
