The difference in height between the H2O snd the Voyage is .65" or 17mm. not all that much difference really. The weight difference is 1.58oz or 45g. Again, not much. As for the weight, you could negate the difference depending on which covers on which device.

I would recommend anyone to try to compare the two devices "in the flesh" before making up their mind. They are both excellent readers, but they do have individual strengths and weaknesses. As you know, I came down in favour of the Voyage due to the problems with the Kobo's touchscreen which, although they can be worked around, were a significant issue for me.

I would also not carry a reader around on my person. I only read when I'm commuting to and from work/study and when I'm at home; I always have a bag for the former and it is not necessary for the latter. I do appreciate all of the feedback, though. Thank you to all contributing members. Does anybody know if Kobo has a similar feature to that of the vocabulary builder from Kindle? Last edited by uppon2; 12-21-2014 at 12:03 PM. |

Aestivate Pisé Monorchidism Droshky Pahlavi Uremic Postiche Louche Catabolism Zazen All of these words are defined in the Kindle's dictionary. Could someone take a look and see how many of them are present in the Kobo's dictionary, please?

Thank you - that's better than I'd thought would be the case. (In case you were wondering, Pisé is an old method of building walls, by forcing clay between boards, and then removing the boards when the clay dries, and zozen is a type of Zen Buddhist meditation. The entire list of words are things I've looked up while reading Agatha Christie's autobiography.) Interesting to hear. |

... and Pisé is found in the freely-available custom Chambers 1908 EN-EN dictionary which can be added to replace one of the dictionaries you don't use (in my case the Italian-Italian one). Pisé, pē-zā, n. stiff earth or clay rammed down to form walls or floors. [Fr.] |

Oh no, just some. That's why I like to have several EN-EN dictionaries loaded simultaneously. If a word's not in the main one it's often in one of the others. Finding all words in a single dictionary would obviously be better but it doesn't take very long to cycle through the alternatives when necessary. |
