I keep the number of apps on it to a minimum. I concentrate on audiobook and music apps. There's a thread on this in the audiobook forum; please join us. I plan to post how I set it up and what I think about it sometime tomorrow.

Don't know about Google, but for Amazon, you can get a gift card sent in a greeting card starting at $10, free shipping.

I'm waiting on my Fire Phone from Amazon that I paid $199.00 for it's now back to full price $449.00 That makes it the most expensive thing next to our TV and my laptop I have bought. Says back in stock on the 12th so hopefully I will get it around then.

I know they exist, but they are hard to find.

In know Target sells the Google Play one in a $10 denomination. They have $10 and $25 by the cash registers. Not sure about Amazon. I've seen iTunes and prepaid cellular cards there as well.

These are killer prices on the 7" HDX. All but one are even lower than the non-4G BF prices.

Today is Green Monday

Green Monday is an online retail industry term similar to Cyber Monday. The term was coined by eBay to describe its best sales day in December, usually the second Monday of December. Green Monday is defined more specifically by business research organization comScore as the Monday with at least 10 days prior to Christmas.

Don't let the sale prices for today fool you. For the most part, they're much worse than BF and CM.

I think the Fire HD 6 cannibalized sales of the Fire HD 7 and HDX 7 and Amazon has excess inventory they want to clear out. It wouldn't surprise me if one of the 7" models was discontinued.

I just ordered the 64 GB. $159 was just too cheap to pass up.

No doubt. Amazon has a hit on their hands with the 6" size. What they need to do now is to add the Fire HDX 6 to the lineup (better cameras, stereo speakers, increased resolution, better wifi, Mayday, etc). I'd definitely get one. I love the size.

I'm convince They are discontinuing the HDX this is the same pattern for previous readers before they pulled them. No one wants a tablet with blue light bleed. Had they went with normal LEDs the tablet would have been a success.

Plus they probably didn't sell a lot of them with the cellular. They need to clear those out.
