I was thinking about getting this one. It's the same case I got for my Fire HD 6.

What is the opinion (i.e. wild guess) of the smart folks here at MR, as to how long this price ($199 unlocked with free year of Prime) will last? Will I still be able to get in on it if I wait until March? Lay out those tarot cards and polish those crystal balls.

That is what I am not sure about. My windows phone is ok.....but I don't really like it. (The battery life has been significantly decreased since it updated to win 8.1) I could take the sim card from it and have an Android phone in a snap. But I don't use the phone for much more than texting and some calls LOL. Maybe I would do more if it was a decent Android phone. The camera feature tempts me. But having to tilt it all the time sounds odd. Can you turn that part off? I can see myself accidentally tilting it. So, I am mired in indecision. (My daughter turns 12 in Feb and would gladly take the Windows phone, so it wouldn't go to waste). |

I've contacted Poetic and am waiting for their response. In the meantime, I'm not about to buy the mini version of this case if this remains an issue. Otherwise, it's a great case. Personally, I think they should've left the port covers off. The case isn't waterproof, so they have no functional purpose. I'd cut 'em off, but that would create a weak point for possible tears; plus it would mar the appearance. | |

What do you prefer to use - your HD6 or your windows phone. Imagine for a second your windows phone being capable of doing all your hd6 does (that is basically what the fire phone would be). Would you want to use it on the go? Or is the hd6 small enough to carry around along with the phone? How about reading? Are you willing to read on the smaller screen?
