I've added in the mini 3 bcd and the air 2 gsm version. If anyone wants this just pm me with an email and I'll send it along. As noted earlier, consider this beta until the developer gets the official release updated, but it seems to work fine and I haven't noticed any irregularities in testing with my air 2.

Great work! Perhaps you could attach the zip file here? As for making it official, Philantrop seems to have disappeared....nothing posted for over a month. I hope he is OK.

Sure, I'll post it. I just didn't want to get into any version conflict or anything with the official one, but until the developer can update I'll add it here. Hope he is okay as well.

This is the modified version of the plugin to enable air 2 and mini 3 connections. I've only added 3 lines so nothing else has changed, but since I'm not the original developer and by no means any kind of software developer, use at your own risk! So far it is working fine for two of us.

I can confirm it's working flawlessly with my Air 2, the first time i was able to get Calibre to recognize my idevice since September (first due to the iOS 8 on my old Air 1, and then to the missing codes for Air 2 and Mini's). I had already given up using Calibre after dozens of unsuccessful attempts and countless installs/reinstalls. It's really good to be back again So, huge thanks to the ones who made it possible, especially Shellshock and Mr. Goodbar! |

Calibre 2.12 new version of libplist

Calibre 2.12 will not load the iOS Reader Applications plugin , either 1.4.4 from the web site or the ZIP I downloaded a few messages ago. OSError: libplist.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Calibre has moved to libplist.so.3 Fortunately, I have a backup copy of Calibre 2.11 and I copied libplist.so.2 into my new Calibre installation directory, and that worked. |

Here is a temporary update containing four new USB ids. I have submitted a pull request to have these new ones included, hopefully it will be merged soon and the update posted. Mr. Goodbar -- I've added one for the iPad Mini 3 (WiFi) that was reported on the GitHub issue tracker, otherwise it is the same as yours. I assume the other iPad Mini 3 USB ID is for the GSM version, but I will happily take any verification if anyone finds out which one it is. EDIT: The OP confirmed it's the GSM one. Thanks @ivooskamp! I have also bumped the version on this copy to 1.4.4.0.1, just because and it will show up as older than any new official release unless someone tries to play a really-small-version-numbers footsie game with me. Why is it trying to use libplist.so.2 then? Did only the OSX copy get updated? Last edited by eschwartz; 11-29-2014 at 10:45 PM. | |
