It's Pricey, so are the accessories. It looks great though. Is the carta eink screens so expensive? Trying too figure out the price increase

Amazon no longer has any real competition, therefore they can now set a price that makes a profit rather than subsidizing them as thy have always done prior to now.

That could indeed be part of the price increase. Also, the market for eink screens is smaller, and die-hard fans of eink will invest in a better device, even if they have tablets or phones.

Preordered and am showing a cost of under $60 with "deferred payment". I am not sure what that means. I know I once got offered a "purchase now and pay in installments" offer on the Paperwhite2 when just browsing -- I passed on it since I didn't need another at the time.

Does anyone else see that? I didn't deliberately opt in, but if it's an installment thing with no interest, I don't mind it.

Seems that the sensor on the top right is for your eyes it will adjust brightness automatically to your Eyes (I'm guessing pupil dillation)

The hardened glas (I'm guessing Gorilla) has Micro etchings that will make it feel more like paper and will reduce glarie.

Flush as in there is a single piece of glass that covers both the screen & bezel like the Kobo Aura, at least that's what I'm getting from it.
