Samosa nothing's changed in that respect - perkopolis will work on all sites with books that are able to be discounted.

It's just the Contest codes that will only work in the UK CA and US .... and only on books that the publisher allows discounts on.

Hang about, I just tested perkopolis in Kobo Canada and it worked.

The book I tested on was Kerry Greenwood's Urn Burial.

However, perkopolis wouldn't work in India when I tested it there on one of Greenwood's books.

I just tested the 75% code 5X7ZRR on Urn Burial in Canada and it worked.

Note: when testing a code I just use any author/book that I know is generally discountable

Yep, that's how I'm reading it as well.

Though it means that we no longer have a 'universal' code. One that works across the countries, and in particular in countries where there are no publisher restrictions.

Note 1
The Contest codes work only in the US, Canada and UK Kobo stores

Note 2
The codes will only work once per account (multi tabbing works)

Note 3
The codes will only work on books that are discount eligible - that is - where the publishers allow discounts.

Note 4
Contest Codes only work when you use the 'new look' checkout.

Scared me for a moment, I'd really hate for perkopolis to be pulled out now considering the restrictions for the international site and most of the books I wanted are not discountable on the US/UK/CA site. Btw can anyone clarify if the price on the Canada site in CAD or USD?

Canada is in CAD, tax rate is 5% GST.

@melonsoda unfortunately perkopolis seems to have been pulled from countries where there are no publisher restrictions.

The Canadian site is in CAD.

It seems to be a general Kobo rule of thumb that if the country uses the 'new look' checkout then the currency will be of the country eg Indian Rupees.

But, that doesn't always apply because Hong Kong is the old look checkout and is priced in HKD.

And to add further to the Kobo pricing confusion .... Norfolk Island which is part of Australia is considered by Kobo to be just an island floating off Australia and not connected to Australia, so Kobo charges USD on that site! (I'd like to hear Colleen McCullogh's views that she no longer lives in Australia because she lives on Norfolk Island!)

vouchercodes.ca shows perkopolis expiry date as 31 July so it's definitely not going to work for much longer.

Bargainmoose.ca shows a Kobo promo called eBook bundles. I hven't seen these advertised before so here's the link

Gee some of the bundles look quite expensive. Maybe the current Contest codes will work on some of them to take the sting out....

DON'T PANIC! But, has anyone checked PERKOPOLIS in the last hour or so in the U.S. (from about 9 p.m. EST)? I have not been able to get it to work, but I've had this problem before (I've had a lot of problems with Kobo before). Maybe it's just a hiccup that will go away.
