@Sabardeyn Counting over does nort work for me,
My toolbar(S) ceased to be default about 1 week after the option became available. (I use all 3 locations)

I have almost Zero single action Icons on any of my toolbars (I had to look in the Add toolbars to see what Icon you were discussing.)

I think the 'fax' machine is 'Open Containing Folder'. (I can see the confusion, which is probably why open folders usually are shown at an angle

Just so there is no confusion see attached for a view of my Open Book icon. When I hover over it the tool tip is "Open book" and it allows me to open any suitable book from anywhere on my system.

Seems to me that you're both a bit confused - the toolbar pertinent to this thread is the one shown in ebook-viewer.exe, not those shown calbre.exe or ebook-editor.exe.

When used on browse buttons (eg Create Library, insert Link in comments editor etc) the icon looks like a blue diskette... multi-purpose icons

You are correct, but they are both Open (e)book icons.

The image file in 'question' is is document_open.png. The nice thing about calibre is you can change them.
