I roughly got 26% in the italian store for english books.

That's really weird. I've never thought that the coupon can have different results in different stores. How about other 30% coupons that are currently active, e.g. pekon9, chobi1, puri8? Do they give the same discount, i.e. 30% off?

I think it's tied to checkout, not store. Just tested in US, got 30% on new checkout and 40% on old checkout for the same book.

The promo box showing is NOT an indication of whether a title accepts a promotion code. If you enter codes and they don't work, it's either expired or the book doesn't accept a promo code.

Just my experience.

Both of those books are from divisions of Penguin Random House. Codes won't work on them in Canada or the US. As Maria said the promo code box doesn't mean a book accepts promo codes.

That is a silly design then because customers have no way to know it is used,expired or just teasing

It might be a good idea to make a Kobo discounts/codes FAQ for newcomers to this thread. Maybe the first post could be modified to include it or perhaps it could be a separate thread that's linked here? Would folks be amenable to that?

It just seems that the thread sees a lot of the same questions. Everyone is so friendly about answering them and doesn't seem to mind. However, a FAQ would probably make it a little easier on everyone and provide faster answers to Kobo code newbies.
