I would just call them today and ask. Considering that you lose credits if you cancel (vs. put on hold), I would say the answer is you need to stick with them another month and use another credit.

I have something better. My library supports recommendations, so I don't have any competition.

It's a race! So your library hasn't actually added it? Does your library add books often? Does it usually add books on release day?

FLP is up to 15 people on the waiting list; another 20 people, and I have a chance of getting it on release day.
