my kindle app updated today.
Hi,
I was so happy to discover that the update has added new font choices. Now I can finally use the kindle app. I hated not having font choices.

I just got the update too! I no longer need a Kindle the app is near perfect. All the font choices from the Kindle Fire are now on the Kindle app. The auto brightness fixes the brightness bug on the Nexus 7 as well.

Yep! They really changed alot of the interface too. I like the new changes so far but adding fonts is something I have bugged them about for over two years.

Fonts are:
  • Georgia
  • Palatino
  • Baskerville
  • Droid Serif
  • Lucida
  • Helvetica
  • Caecilia

Droid Serif was the original default font people have been stuck with for a long time.

Could be a corrupted database try clearing the data and see if that fixes it. On the N7 it took 5 minutes once I updated for it to load but now it loads with no problems. I am thinking it did some major updating on that first load.

Open the app and see if you have multiple fonts. If only one font, then it hasn't updated. If multiple fonts, then it updated.

So far this update addresses the sluggishness that I was experiencing. It still crashes every now and then but it is not as bad as it used to be.
