$180 is very tempting. Lots of ports but I bet I can't connect my USB monitor to it.

Asus Chromebox will be released in 2 days (14 Mar). Price for the 2GB version is $179. It's already the #1 best seller in desktops at Amazon.

I will most likely get this ChromeBox when I go next South of the border. It will make a good media PC and no-frills internet PC.

I might get one to hook up to the TV in the living room. It's only $179 and well within my toy budget.

Hmm...A free OS centered around an Internet search engine...how do the Redmond guys come up with these new, innovative ideas....? Anyway: Quote:
However, whenever I think of Bing (or Yahoo) I think of this: http://www.collegehumor.com/video/50...ling-with-bing

I only use Bing when Google isn't doing what I want. Likewise the other search engines I have available on my drop down menu.

I know lots of folks that use Yahoo! Finance. I was thinking more specifically of the search engines, but as it happens, the frequency Yahoo! email accounts get hacked does make me suspicious about the brand as a whole.

On a related note, Google Drive storage prices have been slashed:

I once had my domain for writing and personal stuff with Yahoo. It was cheap. It was great. I had unlimited "redirects" and everything was fine. Then they "upgraded" which resulted in a loss of the redirects (except 1) and the costs skyrocketed. I left and a few "Brands" later, was with 1and1 which I have now been with for a fair number of years. When the lady from Yahoo came on so strong and seemed to be doing a good job, I bought YHOO stock and then it came out that she was firing the guy (also from Google) that she had personally hired at a very high price to raise the profits and was giving him a ridiculous parachute, I myself bailed, at least on the YHOO stock. I still use the Yahoo Finance as my main Portfolio to follow my stocks because Vanguard which carries our 401 and where I buy and sell, doesn't have as good a presentation system.
