On my Kobo, I don't see have the bar graph icon for sideloaded kepubs which is used to bring up the time left to finish reading the current chapter, read the next chapter and complete reading the book. I still see the time remaining to read the book on the home page tile.

One issue for me is that I find the times displayed are horribly inaccurate. Since I did a factory reset before sideloading the 3.0.1 firmware, I now show 25 books read in 18 hours. One kepub (Thankless in Death) I have open claims I will take 17 minutes to read the rest of the chapter (19 pages to go) and 18 minutes to read the next chapter with a total of 8.5 hours to read the entire book. The size of book that when I used to take the bus to work was my riding to work book with another in my bag as the riding home book. It could simply be that since I do factory resets rather often and so do not give the time required to do build a large enough sample of kepubs being read to give a decent estimate on my reading speed, a default and rather slow reading speed is used to estimate those times.

There have been reports that Kobo will be re-enabling that feature for sideloaded kepubs in a future firmware. With that and $2, I can buy a coffee at Starbucks.

I've never reset either of my Kobo readers and my stats are pretty bizarre as well. Once I had 24 minutes to finish the book (300 pages) and 2 pages a minute IIRC. And it has never swayed from the notion that I only read 10 minutes at a time.

I am actually glad that this info is not displayed unless I go to the trouble of looking for it which is a rare event.

The stats that are only available in Kepubs are different though. They state how far you are within one chapter and how many minutes it should take to finish it.

Yes, thank you. David stated that the Time Left feature doesn't work on sideloaded ebooks.

Hi everyone.
I own a kobo aura since a few days now.
I'm quite happy with it, but I've got some trouble with the reading life awards.
Indeed, I receive the "Not an open book" but not the "once upon a time" which is quite od (In a way it means I've finished a book without opening it, magic !)

Same trouble with the adding book, which I've haven't, altough there almost a hundred book on my kobo by now.

If someone has some explanation, I'll be happy and grateful to hear them.

Quite a few of the awards require you to purchase the books from Kobo. As an example, I've read the Sookie Stackhouse series but do not get the special award for that since I did not purchase the series from Kobo.

Now if the person who created the spreadsheet and printed it to a .pdf would correct Sookie's last name -- Steakhouse??? Sheesshh...
