I've been managing to keep my pledge so far... with the exception of the thread I started about TM, and which I felt was wrong for me to abandon before it completely imploded. It's weird: I'm not usually the brunt of flames, but when it comes to discussing pi--er--certain subjects... suddenly people react to me like I'm Stalin resurrected. Eesh... At this point, if I ever decide to travel overseas, I probably won't make the fact public, to avoid being stalked by certain Swedes I won't name...

Pilotbob, looks like you should have taken the "Push My Button" poll and contributed to the list. But now that you've gotten it off your chest, take it easy. Oh, and, uh, by the way, what's wrong with DRM? I kinda like it.

OK, I'll officially (well as official as anything can be on a forum) add another one to the list. o eBook Prices Should they be more or less than pbooks? Should they be less if the book has DRM, etc. DOn't get me wrong, it is an important topic, but I'm not sure much more can be said. Although I would welcome this topic to expand if we got a few publisher reps here, not marketing people but people that are actually reponsible for setting the prices. BOb |

Ok, I'm adding two more to my threads that never end list. 10. Is copyright violation theft? This is a common question/discussion here... is copyright theft. 11. Does piracy affect sales? This is actually very prevalent and I'm surprised I didn't put it on my original list. There are of course two general opinions. 1) Sales are affected. 2)Sales aren't affected. However, some people in camp 1 think piracy increases sales because it increases exposure and also provides a try before you buy mentality. Others think a pirated copy is a sale lost. Certainly this is how ebook, music and software publisher talk about it in "millions lost" to piracy. BOb |
